Plant care & info

All bedding plants have a height and width on the tag to help you figure how many trays needed.

To figure trays needed:

Divide the planting area by the width of the plant = number of plants needed. Divide this number by 6 for the number of tray packs needed.

For example if my planting area is 6” wide and 10” long I have 60” of planting space. The fibrous begonias can grow 4-6” wide therefore I will need 10-15 plants. Meaning I need 2-3 six packs.

How come my Impatiens are wilting?

Impatiens and Coleus are very sensitive to cold, a light frost can kill them in early spring. Impatiens and Coleus can also rot if they are over watered.

Yes! Fiberous Begonias and Impatiens can grow in full sun if they receive enough water. Impatiens may burn in the hottest part of the summer.

Absolutely! Alyssum, Lobelia, Nasturtium are some of the best choices for a partially shaded area.

Some bedding plants will perform beautifully without deadheading, minimal fertilizing and regular water. We recommend: Alyssum, Centaurea, Cosmos, Dusty Miller, Lobelia, Marigold, nasturtium, Nigella, Portulacca, and Verbena.

Aster, Calendula, Centaurea, Cosmos, King Mix Helichrysum, Marigold, Rocket Snapdragons, Statice, Stock, and tall Zinnia.

Calendula, Carnation, Celosia, Cleome, Dusty Miller, Gazania, Lisianthus, Marigold, Portulaca, Sanvitalia, Verbena, and Zinnia ‘Profusion’.
